Exercise

A great free treatment of anxiety disorders is to engage in some form of exercise. Try something new and exciting. Getting involved in a group exercise program like a boot camp helps you feel part of a group. You can share your experiences and help encourage others. The main benefit of exercise is that certain neurotransmitters including serotonin which is one of the key ingredients of mood enhancers.

Meditation

Some people shy away from meditation because of the religious connotations but meditation not just for religious application. Meditation is the art of relaxing, quieting the mind, learning to watch your thoughts and not engage with them; it is a time to remove all stimulants and focus on one thing be it a word, a breathe, or a feeling. To learn more about this exciting practice a great book to get started is called “The 8 Minute Meditation” by Victor Davich.
